UK minorities face chronic organ donor shortage

Every year, hundreds of members of Britain’s ethnic minorities die waiting for organ transplant operations.

It is because they need donors from their own ethnic groups.

Though they make up 8 per cent of the population, only a tiny fraction are registered donors.

Shamim Chowdhury went to the UK city of Birmingham to find out why.
