Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will visit the White House on Friday, Nov. 1, the White House said Wednesday as the U.S. draws down its post-war involvement in Iraq.
Obama and al-Maliki will discuss "the importance of the U.S.-Iraq relationship under the U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement (SFA)," press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement.
Obama "looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Maliki efforts to enhance cooperation in the fields covered under the SFA, and to coordinating on a range of regional issues," Carney added.
